Web/MAX Teacher Usage Reports for 2007-2008

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

We will not be sending a Web/MAX instructional materials usage report to teaching staff in local districts this year. Many of you use this list to rebook items for the upcoming school year. You can obtain a list by going to Web/Max and clicking on past orders.

You can then rebook these same items for the following school year. You will not be able to do this until the districts calendars have been entered for the 2008-2009 year. Most districts have their calendars in by the middle of July.

Call the REMC office, Sherrie Hagedorn, 517.244.1471 or shagedor@inghamisd.org before booking items for next school year to make sure that your district’s calendar has been entered.

Applications Available for DTE Energy Foundation Mini-Grants for Educators Programs Deadline: November 30, 2007

Monday, October 15th, 2007

Last year, the foundation awarded more than a hundred grants to Michigan teachers to fund energy-related projects that encourage students’ curiosity and excitement about energy, science, math, and the environment. Teachers of grades K-12 in public, non-public, and charter schools within DTE Energy’s service territory may apply for a grant. Recipients will be selected by a panel of education personnel, who will look for the best interdisciplinary projects that incorporate problem-solving, decision-making, and critical- thinking skills.

Mini-grant applications must include a detailed description of the proposed project, including the expected outcomes and and itemized budget. Grants typically range from $50 to $250 each, but some proposals could be funded for more.

For more information on the Energy & Our World Mini-Grants, visit the DTE Energy Web site.
