Teaching and Learning Online: Effectively Facilitating an Online or Blended Course

Ingham ISD is a host site for the Teaching and Learning Online: Effectively Facilitating an Online or Blended Course sponsored by the Michigan Schools Online Learning grant on Oct 6 in room 605 in the Capitol Area Career Center from 12:30-3:30. We will have light snacks from 12:00-12:30. There is no cost associated with this course as it is a grant. This is a great kick-off to the school year for teachers who are interested in a blended learning environment or who may be interested in teaching fully online. The course will be offered on our mid-Michigan Blackboard server.

Those who attend will meet once in a traditional classroom setting and continue online for 4 weeks. Educators will be taught by experienced online instructors who will model for them best practices while exploring these online teaching topics.

Regional Technology Academy 08: July 28-August 1

The 2008 offerings include over 80 classes available throughout 5 sponsoring counties. The RTA classes are available to all staff members in the five counties at no cost to the participant. Snacks will be provided in the morning and in the afternoon. Lunch is on your own. The Academy is taking place July 28-August 1. Early registration is recommeded, as some classes tend to fill quite quickly. Register online.
