DV00842 7 Actions: Assessment for Learning, the Achievement Gap & Effective Schools

Dr. Stiggins is widely regarded as the leading expert in the use of assessments to improve student learning and achievement. As the lines of accountability blur among members of educational teams serving students with multiple issues (e.g., RTI, ICT, child study teams), the need for understanding the role of assessment within this context becomes paramount. Dr. Stiggins will share seven specific actions that will address this need.

Web/MAX Teacher Usage Reports for 2007-2008

We will not be sending a Web/MAX instructional materials usage report to teaching staff in local districts this year. Many of you use this list to rebook items for the upcoming school year. You can obtain a list by going to Web/Max and clicking on past orders.

You can then rebook these same items for the following school year. You will not be able to do this until the districts calendars have been entered for the 2008-2009 year. Most districts have their calendars in by the middle of July.

Call the REMC office, Sherrie Hagedorn, 517.244.1471 or shagedor@inghamisd.org before booking items for next school year to make sure that your district’s calendar has been entered.
