Learn how to effectively facilitate an online or blended course and get paid for it! Participants will learn the skills necessary to teach and manage an online or blended course, netiquette, issues of copyright and plagiarism, building an online community, and much more.
The participants will meet once in a traditional classroom setting and continue online for 4 weeks. The first annual Michigan K-12 Blackboard Users Conference will be held August 6, 2009 from 8:30-4:00 at Clinton County RESA in St. Johns, MI. This is free to all attendees. SBCEU’s and a book will be provided to all participants. The day will include snacks and a luncheon for participants.
There will be a variety of session tracks for: new Blackboard users, Collaborations and Professional Learning Communities, Blackboard Administrators, and Organizations and Power Users.
Sessions will include: Getting Started, Assessment, Gradebook, Quizzes and Surveys, SafeAssign, Blogging and Journaling, Peer and Self-Assessment, Adaptive release and notification dashboard, and New Blackboard 9.0 Features.
Guests from Blackboard Corporation will be delivering sessions throughout the day, as well as teacher-users and ISD trainers from across the state. More information will be posted, and available at the MACUL Conference.
